Ingredients

  • 1 package 4 lbs Mama DePandi Meatballs (frozen, fully cooked)
  • 3 cups tomato sauce preferably Mama DePandi’s or homemade marinara
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil if heating sauce in a pan
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning optional, for extra flavor
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese optional, for topping
  • Fresh basil leaves optional, for garnish

Instructions

  • The night before, remove the number of meatballs you plan to use and place them in the fridge to thaw. Keep the rest sealed and frozen.
  • In a large skillet or saucepan, add olive oil and heat over medium. Pour in your tomato sauce and stir in Italian seasoning if using.
  • Gently place thawed meatballs into the sauce. Let them simmer uncovered for 20–25 minutes, stirring occasionally to coat them evenly.
  • Once heated through, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and garnish with fresh basil. Let sit for 2 minutes before serving.
  • Serve hot over pasta, rice, inside a hoagie roll, or on a pizza. These meatballs work for any meal-from cozy dinners to party sliders.

Notes

Mama thought of everything-these meatballs come flash-frozen and ready for the freezer. Here’s how to keep ‘em fresh:
Freezer Storage: Keep sealed in original packaging or an airtight container. Good for up to 3 months.
Refrigerator (Thawed): Store leftovers in sauce for up to 3 days.
Reheating: Reheat in sauce on the stovetop or zap ‘em in the microwave with a little water and sauce to keep ‘em juicy.
